STUDENTS EMPOWERMENT IN DIGITAL LEARNING
Computer Based Test, CBT is the only way through which candidates are assessed and considered for admission into our Universities Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.
However, it is apparent that the best students may not get qualified because of little or no experience in computer based testing which demands a high level of skill and speed before candidates can come up with high scores as to get above the cut off points.
We are bridging this gap by empowering students with mobile applications that can be installed on Android phones or tabs and which, once downloaded can be used offline.
The EXAMMATE apps we are using incorporates both computer based testing along with tutorials in all major subjects and can be used for learning and testing by candidates sitting for JAMB, WAEC and NECO examinations.
Our target students are indigent students from public secondary schools in Lagos State. Our pilot project started with ten secondary schools in Mainland Local Govt. and Yaba LCDA .
We invited 100 students from ten schools comprising of 50 boys and 50 girls selected from SS 2 and SS 3.
METHODOLOGY: Ten Secondary Schools in Mainland Local Govt. Area and Yaba LCDA students were invited to benefit from the empowerment program. The requirement is that the students chosen should come up with Android phones for installation and activation.
It is going to be absolutely FREE.
